My only negative comment is the width of the sites. The section we were in had the neighbor’s patio pad almost under our slider window. The highlights are the pool, the store and of course, the staff. We'll come back the next time we want to visit our money in Atlantic City.

With the grandkids headed back to school we thought we would find a quieter, more relaxed park than the one's we had been favoring. Since The Depot has no pool, jumping pillow, hayrides, costumed mascots or the like we thought it would be a great place to "wind down" at the end of the summer. And it was. The grounds are clean, the seasonals are friendly, the beaches and lighthouse are a bike ride away and there are many restaurants in the area. The farm stand at the entrance had great Key-lime pie. Park is actually closer to "Cape May" than the CG's listed as in Cape May. We liked it here and will go back if in the area.

Three years ago I said I would not return here because of a reservation foul-up. Well here I am again (Oh, come on Papa. Give 'em another chance) and glad of it. This time they gave us a site "near the action" and it was great. Lots of activities for the G'kids, Woodland Grill is open all day with rea$onable meals and buffets, live entertainment in the evenings, good store w/scooped ice cream, etc. (Go to "kids" section of their website, print and color a picture for a free slushie). That's all good but I stand by my original assesment: If you don't get lucky with a good site near the center of this big park, you might as well be boondocking in the Adirondacks.

This is our favorite CG within one hundred miles of home. 5th or 6th time here. G'kids really like it. Plenty of activities included and special activities are rea$onable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I have had reservation problems twice, when reserving through their website. Next time I'll bring up the website and phone in my booking direct. Something you should know if you don't know the area: They bill themselves as Newburgh/New York City North. It's not really in Newburgh and it's not near NYC: GoogleMap it and see. You won't want to be driving to-n-fro several days in a row to go sightseeing. I live 30 miles from NYC and go to Newburgh KOA for weekend get-aways.

The "Splashground" is the biggest draw of this CG. The G'kids rated it "awesome". However, if the weather is bad or if you are not into pool activities there's not much else to bring you here. There are several major attractions are not far away. The Wi-Fi only works in one spot on the deck. My guess is they spent all their money on the splashpark and pool. They should have saved some to: a. put in a real laundry facility (only 2 washers and 3 dryers); b. modernize the showers (what they have were clean); c. open a snack bar; and d. put up some street signs (they escort you in the first time, then you're on your own finding your way). With the G'Kids I'd go back. Without them: probably not.

The neatest, cleanest, best kept CG we've seen. Other CGs that are all paved sites in neat little rows can easily be swept or hosed down. But Ledgeview is tree covered with all packed-earth sites and you would be hard pressed to find a "switch" to discipline an ill-behaved child or a loose rock to throw at an approaching bear. (We didn't encounter either.) The perms and seasonals are all prettied-up with flowers, flags, and little picket fences. We didn't use any of the facilities (showers, laundry etc) but if they were anything but spotless I'd be shocked. My only negative comment would be about the weak WiFi which would only work in the library or at the front door. Then again, weak and FREE is much better than some other options. We will go back.

We enjoyed our stay here even though we were relegated to a w&e only site away from the river. Large variety of sites available. They have sites with many combinations of river view, electric, sewer, cable and I guess none of the above. And, of course there are those charming cabins. Everything I saw was neat, clean and well cared-for. Negative points for the lack of any recycling efforts, everything goes in the trash. Digging in the Diamond Mine is a fun activity. We really enjoyed the Erie Canal Cruise that leaves from the dock near the exit from I-90 (www.eriecanalcruises.com)

Mixed review: MINUS -; Majority of sites are seasonal a/o permanent camp models so "travelers" are relegated to the less desirable sites away from the lake (they call it a pond). PLUS +; All areas are well kept, neat and clean. MINUS -; The beach is modest in size and the playgrounds are slightly more than backyard quality. PLUS +; The lake is clear and there are (small) fish to be caught. We came here because we did not want to dry camp at the NASCAR track at Loudon, about 25 miles away, and were thrilled when we got the only available site on the lake. What a beautiful view. We checked out two CG's closer to the track but wouldn't dare spend the night in either. This does not quite rank as a resort but it's well above the average rustic New England campground.

Easy in-out if you are near the front. CG is large with roads winding back into the woods. It’s probably very tranquil and quiet back there but up front you have clattering diesel pickups shuttling in and out at all hours. Not horrible but somewhat annoying. The facilities I saw were clean but could use some updating. Good cable, NO Internet. The office staff should at least pretend they are happy you stopped in.

I have mixed emotions about this. There is no Internet, cable, shade or charm. It is easy in and out for a one-niter. The park is adjacent to the parking lot of all three tracks (NASCAR, Dirt and the new zMax Drag Race track) so it's super for race fans attending an event. The proximity to Charlotte's activities and Concord Mills Mall is a plus but there's not much else to attract campers. It’s definitely not a destination park.

Very nice, extremely clean, great natural setting. Would rate it a 10 except for the lack of cable and free Wi-Fi. Kudos for their efforts at recycling. It's a shame more CG's don't make the effort. Close to the highway but it's mostly autos so noise is tolerable.

Not up to usual KOA standards. Maybe I was expecting too much. I only asked for a place to park for the night and the ability to drain and flush my tanks on the last day of our trip. They could have told me on the phone that I would need 50 feet of hose to reach running water from the almost inaccessible dump site, But they didn't. What they did was make sure they got my credit card number because "they would be leaving for the day before four o'clock". I can understand that they want all the revenue possible but if they can't provide basic services they should close for the winter.

A luxury park we would go back to even if it is slightly snobbish with restrictions on RV type and age. Spotlessly clean facilities, all level concrete pads. It’s about 1/2 mile to white sand beach and only a short drive to the casinos. Unlike some others, I had no problem with WiFi. Don’t miss the beautiful chainsaw tree carvings along the Beach Boulevard.

Large park, tight level "cookie-cutter" sites with patio pads, spotlessly clean, nice clubhouse, mostly seasonals. Actually, two parks with the same name about 1k yards apart.

Very rustic, bordering on trashy, but good for a one-niter or a base for visiting the Opelika-Auburn area. Looks like they are in the midst of re-landscaping. Great cable and instant wireless. Possibly the friendliest hosts I've ever come across. If I was in the area, I'd go back just to shoot the breeze with him". The piles of rock and gravel, the tractors and other equipment still liter the park and it still looks a little on the trashy side. Even with all that, I’d still go there again for the friendly folks and good services.

Large park that either used to be very nice, and is now getting run down, or was a dump, and is now getting restored. Either way, the park is now somewhere between the Ritz and the pits and it's a stretch to call it a resort. The location is convenient and the setting could be very nice with some grooming. We were happy to get a spot as other places were full but under normal circumstances the place is very much overpriced for the conditions.

Typical KOA. Clean nice setting, small catch-release lake with ducks. Easy access. We liked it a lot and will return. It's a little closer to I-95 than it looks on the website map so you do get some traffic noise. I agree with the previous post about wanting/needing WiFi but in my case it was working the night we were there. I also agree that the cable was poor.

Two miles of narrow road lead to this wooded, very clean and quiet park. We were just passing thru but liked what we saw and will return when the weather is better than it is in late January.

Above average park in between several upscale housing developments. Local newspaper, for several years, has rumored the park is closing, but it has not and, I for one, hope it doesn't. No cable, spotty Wifi. Proximity to Jupiter and West Palm Beach is a big plus.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Only complaint would be the length of the sites. They are fairly wide but short. Even though they are pull-thru you can't leave your Toad hooked up as it will block the street. A neat thing is that the Durango-Silverton RR runs right through the park. It's fun to stand by the tracks and wave to the tourists as it goes by or point out your rig as you ride the train.

We stopped here only hours after a terrible storm hit the Louisville area downing many trees, knocking out electricity and almost paralyzing the city. We had called ahead not knowing what was in store and arrived after dark. The Manager walked us to the only site left that was not obstructed by fallen trees. None of this has anything to do with rating the park but I'm telling it as a way of saying Thanks to a real Gentleman who treated us royally during a crisis.

Beautiful setting with wide open spaces. If a group get together is what you want, this is the place. If you’d rather relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings by yourself this is still the place. Having only Water and Electric hookups is a small inconvenience for the benefits of this beautiful setting. Tack on the expensive Wi-Fi and a lack of cable and a long stay might be out of the question. But, do not leave without taking either a paid or self-guided tour of the area. (www.visitlex.com/quick/tours) It isn't called “The Horse Capital of the World" for nothing. (800) 678-8813

A nice clean park set in what I'd call a vertical valley. Not a level spot in the CG except for the sites themselves which are like a giant stairway making it's way up the hill between two mountains. Deadwood is a great town IF you like casinos.

There are two Camp Grounds in town, both a short walk to "downtown" and Wall Drug. (www.walldrug.com) This one has good cable and Wi-Fi. Otherwise it's a coin flip. Strange setup as to lot size. The lots are narrow with two different numbers depending on which way you face. If they were to fill the spaces you would not be able to open your doors but they only rent every other one. Many tent sites, I suppose catering to the bikers on their way to and from Sturgis. Wall Drug also has a huge parking lot that accepts overnight dry camping.

A great in-n-out CG for overnights on your way to anywhere. Spotlessly clean level sites only 3 blocks off US 85 in "Small Town America". Our second time here and probably not our last. New owner is just as nice as the previous.

The campground is a huge, tight to navigate and has all small back-in spaces. Maybe some areas are big-rig friendly but I did not see them. It's the only full hook-up CG in Yellowstone. No matter what is said about the CG you should remember that Yellowstone National Park is a star and is what matters. Where you park and sleep is secondary to the experience of the First National Park.

Only the second place that we ever pulled out of after seeing the place. A note on the door of the closed-up office said to pick a site and put some money in an envelope. We "shooed" our way through a herd of about 30 goats and made a circle around the so called resort. What we saw prompted us to retreat back over the 3+ mile wagon trail and go to the Wal-Mart in Rolla. A very good decision as the area suffered a torrential downpour (the remnants of Hurricane Ike) that night and I would guess the four RV's that were in the lowland park were either washed away or, at best, just flooded. I felt sorry for them and the goats.

Not the best pick in the area. Right on the highway with no protection from the noise. Weak WiFi, low water pressure and poor TV reception. Great for satelite because of lack of trees. No giant complaints, just a lack of endorsments.

Our second time here because it’s convenient to "The Casino's" (6 & 12 miles). Very large CG but about 85% filled with fulltime camp cabins and all-season weekenders. The size of the park dictates that somebody will be far from the recreation facilities. Unfortunately, it’s us short-timers. Most of the “perms” have golf carts. Many places that have a lot of full timers tend to get run down and messy; this is NOT the case here. All facilities and grounds are well maintained. Many of the "festival weekends" increase the rates excessively. Off-season and weekdays are reasonable.

Down a paved, but bumpy, country road you'll find this quiet little park. You can see that there was no master plan when this park was built. No neat little cookie-cutter rows of sites. As we were led to our site by the ever-so-friendly owner/manager, I was reminded of a child’s maze-puzzle. We went Ziggy-Zagging around in order to approach our pull thru from the correct direction. I enjoyed the tour. In a valley, so cell phone (and TV) reception is poor. O.K. for an overnight stop.

Wonderful location on the top of a small mountain. The view would be spectacular, there is even an observation deck, but "Clouds" cut visibility to 100 yards that day. (Timing is everything). Showers and laundry were spotless as was the whole park, but there was no hot water as they "had problems that day". (Timing is everything). WiFi and cable are included but we stopped here expecting to watch the Super Bowl and their cable did not get Fox network. (Timing is ...). Will definitely try to go back at "another time" as this could be one of the nicest parks of all, anywhere.

Location is convenient to I-81. Good for an overnight in the off-season, probably very nice during the summer. Huge waterslide would provide lots of fun for the kids. The road in and out is rough but manageable. Advertised WiFi was NOT available.

Sterile, huge, not much character. Nice clubhouse w/ large screen TV. 24 hour shuttle to Casino. A small expensive laundry for such a large park. $11.95/day for Internet is a rip-off when most other places are providing it free. Staff is condescendingly courteous. Our second but last time here. Next time we'll stay down the road at Sam's Town or Hollywood at 2/3 the price or even dry camp in one of the other casino parking lots.

Not at all what I'd call a "Resort". O.K. for an overnight stop. Overpriced for the setting and facilities. Even though the web site and brochure promise 12% to 20% discounts during the off -season, we were charged full summer rates for an overnight stop on a snowy mid-February night. Wife says I'm being charitable. The only comment in her logbook is "awful".

A large park with all amenities, conveniently located for touring the history rich Chattanooga area. The campground is on the site of the Civil War Battle of Chattanooga. Even though they have a large tent area, it seems you are better off "self-contained" due to limited number of bath houses. Gravel roads had puddles and the grassy areas were muddy or flooded both times we were there. Helpful, friendly and courteous staff. When we had some electrical problems they helped us find Mike the "RVTech" who made quick and rea$onable on-site repairs.

Not quite a "Resort" as the name implies, but a nice clean rustic park. Even though it's close to I-40 the noise is minimal. Nice views all around, but especially for sunset. The seasonals, who are much neater than in many parks, are separated to one side and to the rear, so a day-stayer does not get the feeling they are imposing in someone else's neighborhood. At about 25 miles from Nashville, its close enough to do day trips to enjoy Music City. No cable, clear shot for satelite. They have what they call a Target Golf course which in a former life was probably a cute little par 3 course. Now the "greens" are un-puttable so it's a "nice walk interrupted by some iron shots". We stayed 5 days while visiting friends in nearby Mt. Juliet. We will return.

PARK is the key word here. Wells Fargo RVP is a very convenient place to PARK in Tombstone. Its right in town, only 1/2 block from the OK Corral where the historic gunfight took place. But it is not much more than a place to park. The sites are poorly marked and defined. We (2 Motorhomes) had to get the manager to walk to and point out the small sites he expected us to squeeze into. When we got back from watching the reenactment we found they had squeezed a 5th wheel between us so there was only 9 1/2 inches clearance with our slide outs interlocked like a jigsaw puzzle. I can attest that the guy in the 5th wheel is a snorer, but so am I so we're even. If I come back I'd probably stay at the roomier park 1/2 mile away.

Packed with friendly seasonals and retirees. We got the last two spaces at the edge of this neat clean "village". We enjoyed an inexpensive breakfast with the "natives" in the community hall. Beautiful setting. RV Resort along side a Marina and a waterfront park. Spaces are not large but are separated by shrubs that give a feeling of privacy. Spotlessly clean all level pads. My only complaint is the exce$$ive cost of the WiFi. At their prices they could throw in some perks.

The only park we ever pulled out of after seeing the place. We could not figure how to fit our 32 and 35 footers into the assigned, supposedly pull-thru, sites. If we could fit, we would have to park our Toads elsewhere, possibly on neighborhood streets. The closeness to the highway was also a turn-off. We moved on. The Manager was understanding and gracious.

Santa Maria Pines is nice as a home base for a night or three. It’s convenient to town, the highway and lots of nearby activities. A couple of the seasonal neighbors were not.

Great halfway stop between the Coast and Vegas. Nicely angled pull-thru sites make them seem wider than they are and make navigation easy. Bushes between sites provide a sense of privacy. Typical KOA. (i.e. higher priced) This one is well maintained, spotlessly clean and neat.

Nice, clean, convenient, semi-tight sites. Expensive WiFi and (large)Laundry. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We extended our stay twice by phone and they were very accommodating about it. Rustic sites overlooking very large, beautiful lake, high up on a mountain. Quite a climb if coming up from the Santa Barbara side. Bring “IT” with you as there is no Wal-Mart down the street. The only thing missing from this resort is trees, but this is West Texas and there just aren't many trees in this part of the country. Normally I would not call this a "destination" park but I'd go out of my way to stop here again. It's easy to navigate to and through with a hugh shopping area just four miles away. And the one-fee-covers-all is great. I despise the places that advertise a low rate then nickle and dime you to death with charges for tv, WiFi, laundry and even showers.

Simply put, this is a GREAT place. The information folder says "your friendly, clean, quiet RV park". I think they should add some superlatives. Like "extremely" friendly and "exceptionally" clean. Someday they will have all this and be a great campground but for now it is just overpriced.

Some pull-in sites on the Bush River are really picturesque. Overall the CG is clean and neat but some seasonals could use some maintenance. Good cable, WiFi near office only. Nice 2nd floor rec room with internet service and deck overlooking the river. Follow their directions precisely, it IS where they say it is. A few miles to restaurants and shopping but it's only a 25 mile straight shot to Baltimore's Harbor Place, Little Italy and Fells Point where you can get all the Crab Cakes you want.

The Pits. How this place got a 4w rating is a mystery. One area of the park is wooded and pretty but you have to go thru "Skid Row" to get there. The "seasonals" and "forevers" are a miserable mess. Even the nicer area is dotted with "Fred Sanford" imitators. No cable. Trees block satellite. WiFi unusable (clerk had no idea of User ID or pass word). The park itself was nice but our stay was spoiled because we did not get the sites we reserved. Three months in advance, we reserved five sites (2 RV & 3 tent) and were promised and assured they would be "near" each other. One RV site was 1/4 mile from the nearest tent and the other was 100 yards in a different direction. Too far from the playground and activiy center for the kids to go alone. Neither RV site could get a WiFi signal. Our plea at the desk was answered with a curt "I can't do anything for you". What she meant is "I won't even try to help you". None of us will go back.

A typically wonderful, clean , quiet, wooded State Park. Oh, and dark. If you are going out of the park and not coming back until after dark be sure take your site-map with you and memorize the way to your site. Wonderful views from terraced sites. Sparkling clean. I can only imagine how pretty it is in the spring, summer and fall. All sites recently graded and leveled. Only negative: The severe slope of the property makes it hard to navigate, both by vehicle and on foot. Add snow and its a training hill for Bode Miller. We would surely stay here again if in the area.

The owner/manager must be twins or have a split personality. The guy that checked us in was a grouch. He spent ten minutes telling us the list of can'ts and don'ts. (A drip from your hose connection gets you kicked out) The third rig of our party to check-in, two hours later, got the happy twin. When I could not get WiFi to work I went back to the office for help. Guess who's back? He berated me and insisted I must be doing something wrong. I decided I could live without WiFi and backed out the door. The park was convenient and clean but not a destination park. I might stay there again but I’d let the wife check-in.
